
General Introduction
The Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) was officially established on June 24, 1995, under Decision No. 4637/QĐ-UB-NCVX issued by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Initially, it was named the Ho Chi Minh City Science and Technology Association for Automation.
Over the past 20 years of development (1995–2015), through the dedicated efforts of the Executive Committee (EC) across successive terms and the active contributions of a wide range of members—including individuals, organizations, and businesses operating in the field of automation—the Association has carried out numerous impactful activities, contributing to the industrialization and modernization process of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring regions.

Mission and Objectives
The Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association is a professional and social organization comprised of voluntary individuals and entities—including businesses, research and training institutions, manufacturers, intellectuals, and other stakeholders in the field of automation in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Association’s main purpose is to unite its members, protect their legitimate rights and interests, foster mutual support for efficient operation, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

Dec 28, 1994: Vietnam Association of Automation signed Decision No. 03/TC-HTĐ to establish the Ho Chi Minh City Science and Technology Association for Automation.

Jun 24, 1995: Official establishment approved by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

Sep 29, 1995: 1st General Assembly successfully held.

1996–1998: Led the “Traffic Control” research project with valuable findings for traffic management in HCMC.
