On the morning of March 20th, 2026, at the Startup and Innovation Hub of Ho Chi Minh City – SIHUB, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology officially launched the Ho Chi Minh City Technology Exchange Platform (new phase). This event is one of the key initiatives aimed at promoting technology supply–demand matching, not only supporting enterprises in accessing advanced solutions but also serving as an effective bridge connecting research institutes, universities, scientists, and innovation organizations, thereby fostering research, technology transfer, and practical application in production.

Delegates officially launch the Ho Chi Minh City Technology Exchange Platform (new phase).
The Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association (HAuA) not only participated in the technology exhibition at the opening ceremony but also plays the role of a strategic advisory unit for the Technology Exchange Platform, contributing to the development of the technology ecosystem and facilitating effective business connections.
HAuA Showcases Key Technology Solutions
Within the event framework, HAuA participated with an exhibition booth showcasing outstanding technologies developed and applied by its member enterprises, including:
-
“Made in Vietnam” drones
-
Robots for manufacturing applications
-
Agricultural automation equipment for environmental control and productivity optimization
This exhibition not only demonstrates the technological capabilities of Vietnamese enterprises but also contributes to promoting the innovation ecosystem in automation and smart manufacturing.

This collaboration is expected to enhance technological capabilities for domestic enterprises while accelerating the application of advanced automation solutions in production. As a result, Vietnamese businesses can improve operational efficiency and gradually strengthen their competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
In addition, the opening ceremony recorded 12 technology transfer agreements with a total estimated value of nearly VND 19 billion. Notably, 3 agreements belong to key technology sectors such as robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence. The event also featured more than 70 technologies and equipment showcased across 20 advisory booths, creating a favorable environment for businesses, experts, and stakeholders to connect, exchange ideas, and explore cooperation opportunities.
Promoting Technology – Business – Market Connectivity
The Ho Chi Minh City Technology Exchange (new phase) has been comprehensively upgraded with several notable innovations. The platform now classifies technologies into four structured tiers, while establishing a digital profile system covering the entire transaction lifecycle. It integrates key indicators such as Technology Readiness Level (TRL), intellectual property status, and commercialization potential.
In addition, a real-time dashboard system enables transparent monitoring and evaluation of operational performance, while data integration with the National Science and Technology Exchange expands connectivity at a broader scale.
On that foundation, the Technology Exchange serves as a vital bridge linking enterprises, scientists, and government agencies, facilitating research activities, technology transfer, and commercialization. This enables research outcomes to be effectively applied in practice, helps enterprises access suitable solutions, and contributes to building a sustainable innovation ecosystem.
